More than a day after 10 people were wounded when gunshots lit up a crowded tourist area of New Orleans, police Monday had announced no arrests, no motive and few details.

A heavy police presence was in the area when the rampage began because the annual Bayou Classic football game between Grambling State University and Southern University had been played hours earlier. The game historically draws a huge crowd to the city. Three years ago, one person was killed and nine others injured following a shooting spree on Bourbon Street hours after the game.

Seems even when a certain group manages to get into college, they still act like urban street thugs......

It is my understanding that New Orleans police is to busy going out after law abiding concealed carrier citizens (Remember the gun grab after Katrina) to bother with some shooting.

Used to worry about pick pockets in the French Quarter, now you have to worry about getting caught in the crossfire.

This was in and out of the news rather quickly which means it wasn't a "white Christian with an assault rifle" to harp on for a week or two.
