anyone familiar with the 22 atd. I know it's a takedown but have only just in the last two days acquired it and have no previous experience with one. There's a small "catch" underneath at the end of the forearm towards the receiver that when moved the barrel will rotate slightly but will not come loose from the receiver. This seems to be a nice little rifle but needs a drastic cleaning before shooting. Any info will be greatly appreciated

i think that one is a copy of the old browning bottom eject take-down rifle......i have looked at them in years past but never owned one....no idea on reliability.....

thx guys, this was given me by my mom-in-law and as stated needs some harsh cleaning before shooting but looks like will be a nice little addition to the herd
