Thanks I been doing some researching I'm inding that it's a 8mm if I'm understanding but with rifle she also got 7 ammo containers slap full of rounds but the cans are labeled 7mm mauser we was wanting to shoot it at least once or so. But shes worrried if we have the wrong rounds

Ok hold on there some of the turks were never converted to 8mm and run the 7 x 57 piece soft lead run down bore and mic`d be best option I have a re-chambered stamping on chamber is a lot different from yours

The difference between 7x57 (0.284) and 8x57 (either 0.318 or 0.323) is about a 32nd of an inch (0.031). Which, not surprisingly, is one mm. You should be able to push a 7x37 bullet into the muzzle of an 8x57 rifle rather easily but it won't work easily the other way around. That way you don't have to push lead through the barrel. Anyway...just a thought.
