My wife has some women coming over to our house today and I sure don’t want to be around so I called my buddy to see about coming to the range. Of course he jumped at it. I went down to the safe and thought about what to take out. I grabbed the AR and figured that would be fine for today. Then I looked at my .22 heavy barrel bolt. Ok you can come too. But that’s it! The rest of you guys have to stay home. Then I thought since I was taking the AR, I’d take the single shot .223 because I wouldn’t have to take a different ammo if I stayed with the .223 for the AR also. Then the Ruger MarkII was putting up a fuss so I gave in to it seeing how again I wouldn’t have to bring a different ammo. Then the Llama 1911/22 and the Ruger single six! THATS ENOUGH! Sometimes you have to just put your foot down. Ok the 1911 can come too. I’ll report back this evening but if they raise a ruckus I’ll turn this truck around and we’ll just go home!

People in the real world have no idea how difficult it is being a gun owner! real problems and real dilemmas happen often.....Have fun!

My current dilemma is the biggest gun show in GA happens 4 times a year and this is one of the weekends. A few more hours to go and I'm safe but a Super GP100 is calling me. Any homeless 454's may find their way too. A Python might be too shiny to resist. I've talked myself into and out of an FN PS90 but if I don't get one I must justify not getting one with a braced pistol otherwise known as a SBR lookalike.

I spend more time arguing with myself over what to take to the range than I do what to wear each day.
Have fun. I went to the range yesterday with my cousin and her family. They live in another State and I haven't seen her in over 30 years. Wonderful time.

So I wound up running 60 rounds through the AR, 250 through the .22’s and just a few through the single shot .223.
over all a good trip. I learned I can’t hit squat with my AR. Best I could do was get 2 or 3 out of 10 on to the 8” AR500 plate at 135 yards. Ugh. And that’s with a 2-7 scope! We set up a case of water bottles and let them have it with the pistols. That was fun. We recently lost our real range because the farmer is doing some work behind the backstop. We’ve been shooting at the farmers log and brush dump which works ok and gives you lots of logs to set stuff on. We set some clay pigeons up and I was smoking them with the 1911 at 20 yards. My eye isn’t getting better so that’s a concern. It’s just great to get off the couch and throw some lead.

my range day will be monday.......its a holiday for me....

it will be a 32 caliber lcr day.......

on the menu will be the 327 mag, 32 h&r mag, and some 32 longs.....one-hand drills....
