ILLINOIS RED-LIGHT CAMERAS HAVE COLLECTED MORE THAN $1B FROM DRIVERS SINCE 2008

Illinois local governments generated more than $1 billion in red-light camera revenue from 2008 to 2018, according to new analysis by the Illinois Policy Institute.

Each red-light camera ticket in Illinois costs drivers up to $100, depending on the municipality.

And the company screws with the time on how long the yellow light and green lights are to be on. In return gets more money in the outside party pockets running these lights and makes these cameras like its doing what its intended to do. Except for the accidents and the missed opportunity to help people in need or catch criminals, if the cops were to actually be allowed to do their job and stop the vehicles. Lets not for get the higher insurance penalties because these thieves want to make more money off the working guys. These need to go and these r not helping anyone except politicians and the outside companies bank accounts.

If they were serious about people's safety at intersections they would put them at stop signs. Why don't they? Well, they cant lie, cheat, or rig a stop sign...least not yet.

Am I the only one who remembers Vice President Al Gore's red light runner speech? He was on a small stage, small audience, saying we have to do something about these red-light runners to save the children. Of course I saw threw it as he was giving it. It was all to create the crisis from which the makers of red-light cameras were going to save us.

If this is so, then, what is the purpose of the cameras being installed in Miami-Dade county? Every day I see more and more of then?

Well when it is considered that Miami-Dade county has a majority of DemocRATS, (about 60%) could it be that they may be tracking the citizens.

For those of you who are not familiar with Florida, Miami-Dade county is where the city of Miami is locate and it is just above Monroe county which includes the Florida Keys and it is one of the three counties in Florida that Trump did not win.

Charlotte, NC was gun-ho on red-light and speed cameras, until they discovered a state law mandating all revenue from traffic cameras had to be turned over to the school system, then the cameras came down. I guess "traffic safety" wasn't that important when the money goes to the school system.

They have been doing this for years and more and more cameras are being installed everywhere. I don't think they use them to "track" everyone, just people they are looking for if a crime has occurred and they look for vehicles in the area. They are also just used for traffic purposes for congestion, accidents etc. You ever see a light board on a highway telling you of upcoming traffic or accidents and to use alternate routes if possible? This is one of the ways to do this. You'll also see the cams on many interstates along with plate readers in some areas on over passes. Start looking up when going under bridges on the interstates an you'll notice them. They can also use things like easy pass or whatever they call them in other states for toll roads to track you as well. heck they can even tell how fast you were going by reading when you go on, got off and using the times and distance traveled. Between all that tech, the GPS in your car and phones it's easy to track people they want to.
There are also these mysterious boxes that started appearing on utility poles in recent years. some are cell boosters but i have seen pics of others that have a camera in them behind a blacked out window so you can't see it and have seen other reports that different govt agencies use them for various things like gps tracking. I've read things where people asked about them and different alphabet agencies come and remove them including the atf. Not sure how true it all is though. Google "strange white boxes on utility poles" and see the different things that pop up.
