On the left side of the barrel there is a code, tell me what it is and I should be able to tell you when it was made.

That isn't the number that I need. Give me the full serial number if you can. Left side of the barrell, by the frame.

Can't help you with that then. As far as I knew Remington's were dated with a letter code. Guess I was wrong or you are giving me a different number.

thats whats giving me trouble. A77, is between the pump and the mechanism on the left side. 190444 is under remington to the right of fieldmaster, theres 3 patents numbers, 1481538,1628548 and 1682704. the stamp is remington arms co. inc. ilion, n.y. made in usa.,,,,,,theres also a 46 on the trigger guard on the left side. thats all the numbers i see!

I just googled remington model 121 and thats one of the results it gave. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you can find exactly when.

I am pretty sure Remington's all had S/Ns prior to the late 60s... I could be wrong though. When I have some time I will try to research it out for you Rigwelder.

thanks trapper, yes its a real slick old 22, no pitting and only a few scratches on the stock. i allready looked at the gun chart you put up for me to look at, but i just dont understand how to get the age from the numbers A77.

If A is the year then it is 1954, the last year it was made.
