How many mags do you carry???
For those of you that carry daily; how many extra mags do you carry with you????
I only carry the mag that is loaded in gun that has a 12 round cap. I need to get in habit of carrying at least one extra mag with me.

Generally just the mag that is in my P99c - I am trying to get into the habit of keeping 1 extra mag on me too.

here is the best advice i can give you.
carry at least two.
because if youre gun fires and your gun jams. the feed lips or something else could be bent or broken. and if thats the case if you dont have another clip then you dont have a weapon.
always have a spare.

I carry two with my .45 and I have a .380 for back up.

When I am at the range (illegal to carry in Illinois) or out in Montana, I carried one in the weapon and two additional 13 rd mags on my belt.
I carry one mag in the gun and one in my pocket.
In the woods I carry one mag of ball and one of hollowpoint high perf.
A backup knife also.

It depends on where I'm going, and since I'm not old enough to carry concealed, it goes under the seat in the car (unloaded.) If I'm just running out to the store I'll take what's in it (one 12rnd mag+1 in the chamber, it's an XD40 Service.) If I'm going to a bad part of town I'll slip my other extra mags (two) in the XD Gear case it came with and put that on my belt (while keeping the XD holstered under the seat if I need to slip it onto the belt.) With the way things have been going around Blacksburg my Dad or Grandfather (the people who I'm normally with) will also be carrying, Dad the 9mm Sigma, or my Grandfather the P22. Neither of them ever carry extra mags.
If I have the Snubby .38 I'll slip it under the seat along with a box of ammo because normally when I have it I'm spending the night at Mom's and want more than five rounds or I'm going to the range, etc.

Yeah, I'm trying to talk him into getting a Bersa .380 but he likes the P22 too much :lol:leeindy said:p22 isnt probably the best thing. but something better than nothing
