They should have let them across on Monday. 23K would have froze to death by now.
That would have looked awesome on Biden's resume.

As part of his ending the Remain in Mexico policy, Biden has started releasing migrants enrolled in the program into the interior of the U.S.

DHS is admitting the migrants, of which there are 25,600, at ports of entry in
San Diego, California,
El Paso
Brownsville, Texas,
The Biden administration had sought to conceal the three locations where migrants were being admitted.

The asylum-seekers tested negative for COVID-19 in Mexico and were taken to San Diego hotels to quarantine before they take a plane or bus to their final destinations in the U.S., said Michael Hopkins, chief executive officer of Jewish Family Service of San Diego, which is playing a critical support role.

DHS eventually plans to release about 300 migrants a day in San Diego.
In El Paso, DHS is expected to begin on February 26, with a goal of releasing 300 migrants a day,
and on February 22 in Brownsville, with a goal of no more than 100 migrants released a day.

Border crossers not enrolled in Remain in Mexico, continue to be released into the U.S. interior without having to take coronavirus tests. In some cases, border crossers are put in hotels to quarantine before they are released.

In the first ten days of February, DHS has released at least 2,000 border crossers into the U.S. interior.
For comparison, in December 2020 before Remain in Mexico was ended, DHS had released just 11 border crossers.

Maybe we should actually be taking a close look at WHY Mexico allows all these people to sashay straight on through THEIR Southern border, on their way to the Southern US border, to begin with ?

Look at cash that streams south. More of them here, the more cash in Mexico. They are probably viewed as earners for Mexico.

So now 3400 unaccompanied minors are at the border everyday. We are on track to have 117000 come to the US this year. It’s coming unmanageable. The Bidone administration is down playing it saying it’s manageable. They’re overwhelmed.

from Honduras, crossed the Rio Grande at dawn Monday with her young son and turned herself in to the authorities.

A few hours later she was released, and the first thing she did was take a rapid test for Covid-19 at the Brownsville bus station. They told her her test came out positive.

The city of Brownsville administers these rapid tests at the bus station, after migrant families are released by the Border Patrol.
A spokesperson for Brownsville confirmed that, since they began doing these tests Jan. 25, 108 migrants have tested positive for Covid-19, which is 6.3 percent of those who took the test.

In response to Noticias Telemundo Investiga,
a spokesperson for the city said in an email that Brownsville does not have the authority to retain these migrants who plan to travel to dozens of cities throughout the country.
