Returning a gun to the mfg can be nightmare. Trying to mail it off at UPS or Fed-X, the worry of it being stolen, broken parts, etc.

I had to send my 45 Springfield back a couple of times and never was able to sort out the frame issues. This happened a long time ago and they now have the 45 thing down pat. It is a stressfull thing to find a new pistol is not working properly and the dealer just says, Its your problem send it back to the factory!

Any horror stories?

Winchester Mod 1300 had a stress fracture in the chamber after less thatn 300 rounds. Traded it in for my Browning OU that I sold cheap before my transfer to SF.

winchester would have given you a whole new gun
I apologize for not being more clear but the gun shop gave me full value for the Winchester so I was not out any money. They ended up getting a replacement from Winchester. Anyway, I had been looking for an OU and decided to move that direction.
