I have had to pull twice in my lifetime. Once it was in toledo, ohio while visiting my aunt and the second was at a bar in cleveland. both times they ran (thank god) but I was wondering if any of you have had to pull.

Only once while walking down the ramp into a basement parking garage late at night. Two druggies were over on the floor and saw me before I saw them. I was trapped in the back of the garage, before I realized they were there. I pulled the gun, a sig 232 at that time, put it down by my leg and they took off like scared rabbits. All they got was the license plate off the rear of my car. That was done before I got there apparantly.

Another time I was walking to the same garage in the dark and encountered three strange characters shooting up with something. They focused on me and I had my hand on my gun in my pocket and continued to walk confidently, they did not pursue me and I always thought that they could read my thoughts and knew I was armed.

Never "pulled" mine, but glad I had it on a couple occaisions.

Once on my way home from wally world, I saw a guy who didnt belong in my neighborhood walking in the direction away from my old apt as I turned onto my street. As i was carrying in my groceries, I noticed he had changed directions and coming my way, he got about 30 feet from me and said "lemmie ask you a question". I just slipped my hand under my shirt and got ready to draw. When that happened, the dude just turned around and kept steppin....I know, I know..I should have gone inside and hide like a good little "sheep", but I never saw that fella again. Wonder if he thought twice about approaching a stranger in the dark again!

Second was a possible robbery in a parking lot. There was an old man ride up to the Perkins restaraunt on a bike after it was closed. ( I was in the truck with a date ;) ) The man had something behind his back and was trying to get the waitresses to open the door. It was either a machatte or a big feather. I couldnt really tell. I just got a cell phone ready. There wasnt anything close to a good shot. But glad I was armed.
