My latest toy to add to the collection. An early Marlin Ballard #6 1/2 Rigby straight grip model. Nimschke engraved, and chambered for the .40-65 Ballard Everlasting cartridge. Not to be mistaken with the .40-65 Win. cartridge; which is quite different. The early straight grip #6 1/2 Rigby was built from 1878-80, and is a rare variation to the more common pistol grip Rigby that replaced it in 1881.
Bore is like new on this one, and should be a great shooting rifle! The scope is a Stevens-Ideal 6x from around 1909, with long eye relief, and perfect optics. Buttplate is silver plated, and buttstock has a abalone shell crescent moon inlaid into the cheekpiece.

My last two guns chambered in .45ACP

Dan Wesson 1911 A2 and Glock Gen3 Model 21

Both are range guns and handle all manner of .45 ammo without any hiccups

I put a Zev trigger in the Glock and it's an improvement.

I have holsters to tote these bad boys should it ever be needed... But I hope we don't all have to "go there". I prefer to carry smaller and lighter
