I’ll bet the heal drop on that stock is so that it makes full contact with your shoulder. I’ve never shot one but I think it’s got substantial recoil.

Are those yours and if so do you shoot that Rigby? I noticed the strange contour on the stock, i wonder if that's for aesthetics or so it don't snap in two?
They are mine and I shoot the .416 Rigby. It actually has about the same felt recoil as my custom Weatherby 460 Magnum with the 30" barrel and the muzzle brake.

LOL! I love how you compare it to another huge powerful round! As i was reading it i was expecting to read a smaller caliber. Sweet rifles and really love the wood on the Weatherby.

Top is a seldom seen iron frame Henry rifle, and the other is the Colt SAA in .44 rimfire. Around 300 iron frames and 1,863 of the Colts were ever made.

This is the Colt Model 1909 "Straight handle" pistol. A critical evolutionary step toward the M1911, only 23 were ever made. Only 8 are known to still exist, two of which are in museums.
