Back in the day (early 80's) it was a given that you would contribute to the United Way. Then we learned that the CEO was living like a king off the contributions. I stopped supporting organizations like this. The in the around 2015 comes wounded warrior project, another CEO living it up on contributions. The question I have is there are poeple seeing this and saying nothing. This will have more hurt for the organization than any of the In-fighting.

Mr. LaPierre must be doing something right. President Trump backed off federal background checks today.
What's amazing about that is that Trump is usually steadfast and uninfluenced by the last person to whom he speaks and stuff. /s

If Wayne were worth a damn, the President would never have taken that position in the first place.

Steve Hilton is a center-left liberal richard-cranium. He has zero concept or understanding of American culture. He popped up from nowhere on Fox; I guess I should investigate which Murdoch he married.
He is a generally decent TV commentator but that program really torpedoed my own opinion of him. All the did is mock back the same tire propaganda the left, their minions, and the useful ignorant rung of band wagon recent gun "enthusiasts". They panic and buy in to what ever is the latest hulabaloo and really never had that first original thought of their own in their whole life. If it weren't throwing mud at the NRA, they would have their nose up some open carry clown rear ends, or they could just as easily be holding hands and singing with Moms Demand Action if they met them first.

With that program Steve Hilton looks more like a Beta Male following the crowd around yelling "Look at me!" and at the late, tail end of even that bunch of lemmings.

Few Brits are capable of truly appreciating the Right to Bear Arms that we have in America. Nor do they truly understand the feelings that come with firearm ownership. Piers Morgan erred in his take on Americans and firearms and perhaps Hilton may follow into that trap. But it hardly makes him a Left of center Liberal. But then, we are dealing with TV. FOX News "Infotainment and Hilton's "Swamp Watch" segment discloses "corruption and greed" wherever they find it.

I consider Wayne's spending of 100's of thousands of "my contributed dollars" to be an abject example of greed and, as the OP title claimed, it's "lavish living" by Wayne, on The NRA's expense account. I was a very generous supporter of Wounded Warriors for just over 10 years and bought 2 to 4 "backpack packages" per year for our returning wounded. When it was disclosed that the boys at the top liked to spend a couple of million on hotel party packages during their trips, I quit. I don't have the money "to waste". My local Salvation Army appreciates my extra contributions.

Stewart Varney, another FOX News Brit naturalized citizen seems to be about the only "TV Brit" that appreciates the Right to Bear Arms and he does own a few for protection and recreational shooting.

If his anti-gun views don't make him a leftist then what about what I posted about his support for universal healthcare? That's pure socialism.

There are only four things I can think of that would make a person like Hilton:

1. His bald head
2. His British accent
3. His style and ability to deliver his message
4. His message.

So which is it that you like?

None of the four "things" you seem to obsess on.

I like the guests he books on the program and many of the investigated disclosures as regards "The Swamp".

What I don't like, and this goes for many of the FOX News programs, is that they try to "mention" or "touch-on" about 30 or more subjects in the 42 minutes of broadcast time. Too many subjects and when the program is over i wonder what the hell it was I just watched.

Well, when the gun owners are supporting the gun controllers, and no amount of proof that they are gun banners will change their minds, then the battle is likely lost.

It's a character flaw I have, obsessing on the message of those who are trying to take our guns or any of our other liberties. As for the others, since some don't care about the message, I'm just trying to understand what it is about him that they are obsessing on.
