My father passed away on 12/26 and as you can imagine, there’s stuff that has to be gone through. I came across this gem. My father was a Marine. He served from 1956-59 and was in a 4.2” Mortar platoon. He traveled the world and was even a DI for a short time. I grew up in a kinda boot camp. I could tell you some stories but that’s another time. I am posting this because I found it funny and so DAD.

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.

My father (Navy vet from Korean War) died in November and I finished going through his things shortly thereafter.

The items invoke good memories.

Glad there were guys like our Dads to protect and serve this country.

Thank you for sharing. As retired military (not a marine though) I can relate. I came from a long line of men in my family who served and am the last. Sorry for your loss but am sure your dad was very proud of you.
