Inter Ordinance Inc. was manufacturing AK variants up until a few years ago. Ulrich Weigand touted his product as "taking the Best Features of American manufacturing and infusing them into an AK-47, with 100% American Made parts" To this I/O Inc. was also advertising it's
Lifetime warranty on it's products.
The AK products that I/O manufactured had some pretty dismal quality and performance reviews and the company no longer manufactures AK type firearms and will not honor the "Lifetime" warranty. Many people who had sent their firearms back to I/O for repair ended up having the firearm returned to them un-repaired along with a $300.00 voucher that could be used to purchase any of the other products that I/O markets.
I, myself, foolishly purchased an I/O AK without doing in-depth research first (buying into the 'American Made / American Manufacturing Quality' spiel) and as a result had a rifle that never fired more than two consecutive rounds without a failure to eject.
I will never purchase anything in the future that has been affiliated with I/O Inc. or Uli Wiegand
