My gunsmith has a Egytian Hakim he picked up from a buddy of his. It has been cleaned up and the stock has been refiniched. What a cool gun!! It looks really well made. The bolt design leaves it very enclosed, good for the desert environment. He says he is selling it for about 500 bucks but he has promised it to someone else. Does anyone here have experience with these guns?

No experience with them here, but check out the prices on GunBroker first. They have some that are lower in price and higher, so compare it to those before you decide to purchase it. Might even want to show him before you buy and maybe he'll lower it a bit.
