The ammo is classified as "destructive devices", I believe, and you need a $200 tax stamp on each round.

But that all may be an "old wives tale".

They are coated with depleted uranium so good luck getting those goodies!

What would be your purpose, if I might ask?

I bet you could find a dummy round somewhere. Live ones I doubt it. I always been facinated with military aircraft, the warthog is a bad mammy-jammy. I saw pics of on that took some heavy damage and made it home over at ehowa. Its seems the plane was built around the Gun (capitol G on this one).

The white plastic dummy rounds show up from time to time on the internet, or at places like Cheaperthandirt.com.

Don't get caught with a real one..

Here's a picture of an A-10 taken during Clinton's terms, with the military cutbacks and all.

Poor fella, I hope he skipped breakfast.

I have seen it in action. She9's right -- goose bumps. It doesn't go "rat-a-tat-tat", it's one continuous ROAR. Similar to the Vulcan 20mm but 1/2 again as large.

Saw one at an airshow a few years ago. More impressive in real life - pictures don't do it justice
