If it's not loaded and one in the tube it's a paperweight. I only carry guns that can be safely carried ready to fire.

Somehow, I feel safer now carrying a cocked and locked Kimber Ultra CDP, than I did with a half cocked Glock 23.

I keep my mags and ammo separate from the gun.... I just hit the pause button when I need to load my firearm.

Cocked and locked all the time.

My XD is normally cocked and locked being the design. I always deep a round in the chamber. My M1911 when I use to shoot it was cocked, locked and ready to rock.

All 1911 pistols should be carried in condition 1. It's just that simple. :)
I knew I liked you for some reason ;)
I only carry at the farm or the range or when Im at my favorite fishin hole. I'm not completely in agreemet with the Carry Law's in Kansas yet, but there working on them, & should have things in order in few more months. :---
But When I do have a pistol on me, it is Cocked & Locked. :-B-:

My 1911s are always carried cocked and locked in the woods. My othe carry guns are double action autos so its not an issue.
