Yes. My P-99 is DA\SA, so I carry it cocked for the SA trigger.

I won't buy a pistol that I can't carry in condition 1.

I carried a Commander cocked and locked for years before I switched to Glock. No problems.

If it's not loaded and one in the tube it's a paperweight. I only carry guns that can be safely carried ready to fire.

Somehow, I feel safer now carrying a cocked and locked Kimber Ultra CDP, than I did with a half cocked Glock 23.

All 1911 pistols should be carried in condition 1. It's just that simple. :)

I keep my mags and ammo separate from the gun.... I just hit the pause button when I need to load my firearm.

Cocked and locked all the time.

My XD is normally cocked and locked being the design. I always deep a round in the chamber. My M1911 when I use to shoot it was cocked, locked and ready to rock.

My 1911s are always carried cocked and locked in the woods. My othe carry guns are double action autos so its not an issue.
