We have a Dick's store in our community. I've been there one time. This store had NO gun related sales.
Have not been back again.

They are living up to their name.Dick’s Sporting Goods CEO Ed Stack told CBS News that his company destroyed $5 million worth of “assault-style rifles” to keep them out of private hands.
Dick’s announced a halt to “assault-style rifles” two weeks after the February 14, 2018, Parkland high school shooting.
On April 17, 2018, Breitbart News reported that Dick’s was destroying its “assault-style rifle” inventory, rather than returning the firearms to their manufacturers. Fox News quoted a spokesperson from Dick’s saying, “We are in the process of destroying all firearms and accessories that are no longer for sale as a result of our February 28th policy change. We are destroying the firearms in accordance with federal guidelines and regulations.”
During his October 6, CBS News appearance, CEO Ed Stack said the company ended up destroying $5 million worth of “assault-style rifles.”
Stack also admitted the Dick’s gun control stance has resulted in “a quarter of a billion [dollars]” in loses. But Stack does not regret the gun control stance. Rather, he is considering taking the company even further down the gun control path.
As of right now, 100 Dick’s stores no longer sell guns of any kind. Stack is thinking about expanding that policy so that no Dick’s store sells a gun.

Oh well, 5+ millon of how much they paid for them and then lost for revwnue for not selling.....fk them. Their decission has been showing in their profit margin and its detrimental. D!cks is a sinking ship and their "I feel good", " look at me ma, I got a sticker star on my refrigerator" move or in reality anti Constitutional agenda is showing this in their sales.

I refuse to buy anything at Dicks. I haven’t been there in over 3 years.
Drove by the Dick’s store in Sioux Falls the other day...pretty much an empty parking lot. They are going to “feel good” right out of business from the looks of it. Half mile away, Scheels is bustling with business.
Who needs them.
As far as I'm concerned they can trash 10 mil in guns.

I worked in publicly held companies for over 40 years mostly in senior executive positions.
Anybody that tossed out $5 million of stock, when you could have returned it to the manufacturer, would be instantly fired.

I do not go to Dicks....for years. I do have a hard time believing they have destroyed 5 mil in product. I would belief they salvaged the guns but to totally destroy and loose allot of revenue? No way!

There is one about 5 miles from home, it is located in a major very busy shopping center, parking is quite difficult, the advantage of having this Dick's in the shopping center is that you always can find a parking space in from of the store. I wonder why.
