None. I didn't have to go to class for a carry permit.
Mine is for concealed or open, which ever is appropriate at the time and place.

Well, the original course was 8 hours, the renewal class was 4.

I took mine about 10 years ago and it was about 4 hours. I then repeated it four years later with a shooting buddy. We both took some advanced training for another 8 hours later on. So I have about 16 hours into it at this point.

Oh and on top of that I took a four hour course with my then wife given by the Sheriffs dept in Los Angeles back in the late 1980's.

No class in GA, all you need is the $30 fee.
I have a non resident CC in VA where I have business interests. VA requires a program commensurate to the NRA handgun instructor course which is 12 hours.

I voted for 7 but it was actually 8 and split into two days. My dad and I took it together and had a blast.

All day with a range visit (not required by law, but they did a thorough job).

Mine was a full 7 hours. 5 hours of class time, 2 hours of range time.

Apparently, the guy's "competitors" give a 3 hour class... but I can't imagine learning less than I did and feeling even remotely comfortable carrying a pistol concealed, despite having been shooting pistols/rifles with my grandfather for 10 years.
