My email to my Colorado Representatives:

Resident in Senate District 19 and House District 27...

I am formally submitting my concerns over the below referenced legislation:

HB 13-1224 - Outlawing 11+ round mags: http://tinyurl.com/b8hl3r4

HB 13-1043: - Statuatory Definition of a Deadly Weapon: http://tinyurl.com/af5r2u2

HB 13-1226 - Eliminating Concealed Carry on Public Higher Ed campuses: http://tinyurl.com/agendb4

As I am sure you are both aware, these are very hot button topics right now. Given the current climate of debate and emotions on the topic, it is often the wisest course to delay legislation that is premature. These statutes are attempts to restrict or redefine our rights as both U.S. and Colorado citizens. I am opposed to all of the above legislation. Suffice to say, you are elected to represent your constituencies. If you vote for this legislation, I will make sure you will not get my vote in the next election cycle.
I will also endeavor to make as many others aware of your voting record, and encourage others to voice their concerns so that you have a chance to act responsibly and in accordance with the principles that all elected officials adhere to in that you represent US, the citizens, not yourselves. It is not incumbant for you to vote on your own beliefs, rather you must be responsible and vote the way your constituents request that you do.

Civics lessons aside, it is your duty to listen to your constituents, so listen now - do not vote for these legislative efforts. They infringe on our rights and we do not want our rights infringed!

The dumbing down of America. Asking this outloud, how does a criminal or the mentally unstable read the titles of the above mentioned legislation and feel they will be affected?
Example HB 13-1226. If this is passed, who will no longer carry a concealed weapon onto a campus? You...or the crook?

Agreed GTX. Also, read HB 13- 1043. That is so asinine. Cars, anything that can be used as a club, (pool cues, chairs, galvanized water pipe, walking sticks and canes, lamps, heavy ashtrays, fence posts, baseball bats, etc.) I could go on and on, but those would be illegal. The ignorance of these people never ceases to amaze me.

Which is why we need to prevent it from getting passed in the first place - I remember a quote from a movie:

"America is tough - you gotta want it bad and be willing to fight for it!"

How badly do we want to protect our 2nd Amendment rights?

Why can't the states just leave well enough alone, don't try to fix what is not broken.

Fabian socialist progressives have an agenda.
They seem to be everywhere.
You and many others including the Constitution are in there way.

They belive they can somehow defy the laws of nature; they do not need solid foundations for constructions any longer.
"We are free! Forward!"

I used to live in Colorado Springs back in the 70's, back then before the liberals took over, you saw signs everywhere. " Don't Californicate Colorado"
Have they changed them to read--Californication In Progress

He's got the legal principles down and is definitely seeing the forest through the trees in that the liberal agenda was (and always will be) to:

1. Get into office on the argument that they would fix the economy
2. Change tactics once in office to now go after guns because,
3. The ultimate goal is to disarm the population,

The important part is to understand the WHY:

ANSWER = So that you can exert complete control.

It's a power grab is all it is - they have short term, mid term, and long term goals.

The first was accomplished when this non-citizen got elected and brought a wave of cronies in
The mid-term is dangerously close - and is precipitously closer and closer unless we stand up and stop it.

The question is - How do We stop it? Through education!

It's a basic human history lesson and boils down to the following:

Throughout recorded human history leftists (aka liberals, socialists, Marxists & communists) have 3 rules to obtain absolute power by disarming their citizens: Legislate - confiscate - subjugate.

Which is why every leftist/liberal country in the world has been an absolute failure throughout history.

Those who forget history are always doomed to repeat it.
