Mad cow is a prion disease. Unfortunately there is no cure for prion diseases. A similar prion disease called Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) occurs in deer and elk. At this time, there is no indication that CWD is transmitted to humans by eating the meat but I just thought that I'd mention it.

By the way, just because Mad Cow and CWD exist; it won't keep me from eating beef or venison but I've haven't had any elk for a long time and I love elk.

That’s exactly what I thought. When the mad cow epidemic happened in Europe, there were piles and piles of livestock burned out of fear. I can’t wait to see what democrats do with this.
