I just picked up a couple scopes from a friend, they have been used heavily. The optics are fine but the body is scratched up pretty good, is there a way to repaint the scope to make these look better?

It sure can just don't try to use a baked on finish. Like sticking it in the oven for 30 mins at 300 degrees. It will crack the lens. I know a guy who tried it.
*Wink, wink* :D

I think I've seen some coated scoped before - they look nice when U do them in the same pattern as the rifle.

You can duracoat almost anything, I have some buddys that duracoat rifle, scope, bipod and bayonet in the same coat to make sutre they match.

DuPont or, General quick dry enamel self primed. Just scuff sand wipe down with acetone to remove any oil's , mask off what you don't want painted or stuck together and paint. Quick dry you can mount and use in an hour.
