California Deputy shot by an illegal immigrant

Law enforcement in California is the armed enforcement branch of their out of control government. I don't wish evil on them; I want every cop, and every person, to go home safe and alive at the end of their day, no matter what their job is. But as long as the police accept orders to not uphold the law then this is what happens. They choose to not uphold the law and people die. How are they any better with more rights for life than is Kate Steinle or all of the non-cops killed by illegal immigrants?

The Constitution clearly states that Federal law and the Constitution are superior to State law and the State cannot legally require police to not enforce the law. Oh, sure, they can pass unconstitutional state laws and they can order or demand that the police don't arrest illegal immigrants but they can't, constitutionally, enforce it. If the police enforce federal law in California, who's going to arrest them?
