Browning model 1922 very low serial #

Hey all, new to the forums, was curious if anyone could answer a few questions about a browning model 1922 pistol I just picked up. It has a serial number of 1242, no nazi symbols or any other symbols. Is this pistol worth anything? Is there history behind it? What year is this serialization made in?
