best place to get mags for a 1911

i get the brownells discount, but midways shipping is better so its acutally about 3 dollars cheaper.

i want some wilsons but dont wanna pay 30 a peice.

i found some chips on midway for 16.99

does anyone know a really good place for 1911 mags?

i might get one just to test it. i treat mags like crap. i routinely drop them on a concrete floor half loaded when im shooting ipsc. maybe thats why i have 40 mags for my xds

I think the Wilson Combat .45 ACP mags are the best available. Should I revert to carrying my Combat Commander for personal self defense, I'd choose the 7 round versions over the 8 round ones.

I'm just old fashion, I guess, but I believe because of its longer track record that the 7 rounder is the way to go.

I once asked Ken Hackathorn if he had to trust his life and choose one of them over the other, he said he, too, would pick the seven. So, at least I'm in good company when I make that choice.
