  1. I did some more digging here at milsurps and found a plethera of info
This is out of my old 45th Edition Lyman manual. Published in 1978. Formatting didn't work well.
    Bullet Diameter Jacketed: .264"
Bullet Diameter Cast: .264” to .266”
    Max Case Length: 1.988"
    Trim-To Length: 1.978"
    Max OAL w. Bullet: 2.940"
Test Barrel: 19" Japaneseicon Service Carbine. 1 in 9" Twist.
It's recommended that you slug the barrel as there can be variations.

    "*" equals compressed charge.

I like the older manuels. I use my Lyman cast #3 more than the rest of mine. I ordered a new reprint of it last week.
YES I am finding out a lot of older manuals are (some say outdated) I say right dated, I do not have any semi auto rifle and nada that dates past 1950, the older manuals are more dated to my needs.

Yeah a lot of the old data is close to ''new'' data. I load in the middle of the road to be safe. My hot rodding days are over. Newer ones are nice for new rounds and newer powders. My latest speer. Is the only one that list Alliant sport pistol. I did find the sport pistol data is close to Tight group data. So for not listed i start at low end of T.G data and go from there for S.P.
