1st time i noticed they carry it. I don't know much about the round. So i looked up what rifles use it. Well i found they have AR'S that shoot it. So much for walmart not selling AR ammo. They also have 308's.

i think the 6.5 creed is probably the most successful new rifle cartridge introduction since the 243 winchester....people buying bolt guns for hunting are going nuts over it and its long range accuracy propaganda......even though they can't hit a bucket beyond 200 yards in the field when they get away from the bench....

i have been tempted as well....but dang, just how many deer calibers and safe queens do i really need in my twilight years of life...

Last i knew there were over 80 calibers available for the AR platform rifles. Some are obscure, some are popular, some rim fires, some pistol calibers etc. If they were to stop selling AR ammo they would have to stop selling ammo altogether. You can get them chambered in , 9mm, .45acp, .22. 22 mag, 30-06 and .243 so you don't get much more popular or common than that.
Pretty sure they just stopped selling 5.56/223 or maybe 300blackout just to satisfy the masses.

They stopped carrying 7.62x54R ammo. When they were stopping the certain ammo sales, They had the 7.62x54R on clearance. I bought it all. I looked to see if they had any for my Mauser. None,

I don't think they ever carried .50 Beowulf. They stopped carrying revolver ammo too. Even though they sell Henry's in .357 44 and 45/70.

Walmart is the only dept store in my area. Kmart closed 6 months after the walmart opened. This was before the sears take over. Then ames went out of business. We did get an ALDI. So we get food there now. And what they don't have we go to walmart. We have weis market but their expensive.

I made it easy on myself. I just do not buy anything from Walmart anymore
Good decision, I for one am against socialism like @ square target2 said in different words. "satisfy the masses" I know that the few of us that are unfavorable to these "survival of the weakest masses" aren't going to put Walmart and friends out of business but at least we can keep our dignity in knowing we're not alone in having strong values.
