I just got into reloading and would like to know what would be a good varmit (groundhogs) loading for .30 carbine.

Thanks

There's a 116gr lead bullet made which is nice and cheap and moves well enough for bunnies and such. You can put either 4227, 296, 2400 or Unique behind it for a 1,500 to 1,700 load. If you don't have it listed in your manuals let me know.

If you want to spend the extra bucks for jacketed, all the books have listed plenty of good loads. Depending on your action, most all will cycle just fine if you go just a little bit up from the min charge listed.

O.K. I've never used my Carbine for varmits before and thought it might be fun to use. Thanks
