I have a 1918 Winchester trench gun. Barrel is 20 1/8", serial number 679XXX, proof marks on barrel, no heat shield but screw notches are on barrel, US marked top right bolt, small oval with W. The repro heat shields are .862. My barrel OD at muzzle is .873, ID is .721, barrel wall thickness is .074. Does anyone here know if these are correct and if not any idea why

Check serials several different books worth a read KBB, Alied Power Guns,Us Guns of WWI & WWII that have all info REASON is I have a Star 9mm Nazi Marked local guru`s at gun show did their best for getting for $150 cause they were "OFTEN FAKED" busted and disgusted I almost did I just could NOT see it same group mentions Nazi Eagle facing wrong way yada yada yada.....I got to researching not only is it "Nazi Party" ok follow Nazi Party the Nazi Eagle was flipped after Hitler won the Vote to Power. Spain was an Axis in both wars. Not only a Nazi Tie but a Party Tie estimate value $700-$900..I realize that is what you are doing here Research but is is a litmus double check research research I know it is dull boring but it keeps ME safe, My Uncle said or Jethro up road said it is an old shot gun worth $100 when it could be 10 times the value and the all SURPRISING LOOK of I did not Know I feel bad he let it go fer that....I purchased a table years later at same gun show set it up with all I had discovered on Nazi Party and Nazi Reich to educate possible sellers. Was escorted out "Hate" material...mmmmmmm
