Hello all,
I picked up a mauser 7mm i know nothing about for $100. Its only markings are:
Serial number- I 9655 on the receiver. Serial number- I 9655 on the barrel. A picture of a crown. And "FABRICA DE ARMAS OVIEDO 1902" on the receiver. it's in killer condition. I would Very much appreciate any and all information on this gun. The value of it in 85-90% condition would make my day. It might MAYBE be a german made mexican rifle worth around $1000? I've got no clue though. Help a brother out. Thanks alot everybody!

The s/n prefix I indicates it was made by the Spanish Arsenal Oviedo in 1901. You're in luck if it's still using the 7x57. Some were converted to the NATO standard 7.62 and are not considered desirable. The best made rifles were Swiss & Swedish.
Have no idea as to the value of yours.
