So why is a flintlock blackpowder firearm important in your survivalist preps? Well, I’m glad you asked. First, we know that your ammo storage for your cartridge firearms is not limitless, right? Second, if you’re going to be hunting for your food as well as trapping it (you do have your supply of conibear traps and snares acquired, right?), which would you rather use for that hunting firearm? One that uses ammo that will eventually run out, or one that has the ability to scrounge all the items needed to reload it?

As Mike Weber pointed out in another thread. That image is not a 1859 Sharps Berdan.

From what I can tell a 1859 Sharps Berdan is not a even a flintlock. Its a percussion.

Take a look at the closed auction link. There are some nice pics of a 1859 Berdan and they look nothing like the firearm you posted.

Also, A bit off topic. But you have stated previously that you are a christian. I clearly remember a story you told of an issue in Afghanistan -------> Not welcome in afghanistan
So what's with the muslim greeting at the end of your post?

just to be clear ...this is not a personal attack. Couldn't care less about your religion, Just find is strange for a christian to close with a muslim greeting.

I am surprised you remembered that former post of mine! Read well the taxi driver assumed we were Christian dogs! After what I have seen and experienced in this world I became an Atheist! I have no relegion at all!

As-salāmu ʿalaykum is a greeting in Arabic that means "Peace be upon you". The salaam is a religious salutation among Muslims when greeting, though it is also used by Arabic speakers of other religions, such as Arab Christians.

For me greeting with As-salāmu ʿalaykum is like saying howdy! For me that PEACE is not peace for the soul! For me its make piece and not war!

In my house and office a lot of people come for tea! A big collection of religions from all over the world! The hearts of these visitors is filled with one god however - AK47-

If they leave with an invoice I wish every one As-salāmu ʿalaykum personaly! Tragic is that none of them has ever listened
