100 grain bullets.

I tested some 10mm auto loads a few days ago. Used 200 grain cast lead flat nose with gas checks on top of AAC #9. Achieved 1140 fps with AAC #9 and right at 1100 with Blue Dot. I could possibly squeeze a bit more since I was not loading quite to maximum. This was in a 5” 1911 pistol. I guess achieving 2000 FPS with a 10mm in a carbine with a 100 grain bullet is cool, but shooting a bullet that is relatively light even for a 9mm, well, I guess that is not that impressive to me...but that is my opinion.
I would rather use a heavy bullet too in 10mm. Maybe the guy in the video shoots for distance? He has a big enough scope on that carbine. AAC#9 does make a stout load in them. I think i may have ran some with 300MP too. But don't quote me on that lol.

I don’t know what purpose he was aimed at, except to achieve 2000 FPS with 10mm? That was a serious optic and sun shade huh? Yeah, AAC#9 is good medicine for heavy 10mm, and Blue Dot pushes pretty fair too. Been thinking about trying Longshot, maybe someday when I have more time on my hands.
I have used longshot in 40 SW behind a 180 grain HC lead. Nice load. Plenty of power.
It looks to me that he did it because he could. I can't speak to the quality of his scope (couldn't see it that well) but he's using Burris's best scope rings to hold it (middle of the road quality).
