    Default Font color suggestion

Just getting started on this forum and curious if others would like the post topic font color to be a darker color. Would make for easier reading (for my eyes, anyway). Maybe it's just me as I'm sort of colorblind (bull's eyes still look red to me, though )
Sorry for my first post being a complaint, just a suggestion.

Maybe you're seeing everything as red?

    ;-)
Just asked someone here what color the topic lettering was and red was the answer.
My color problems are mostly with brown vs green, red vs orange, & blue vs purple. Those pairs look similar to me.
The font thing is just not dark enough for my taste.

I'm not sure about changing the font of the site, this would need some hard code script writing but have you tried plugins for assisting in colourblindness?

I'm not in the least bit colorblind...

This is my main complaint about this site. The color scheme is about the worst I've ever seen. I would really like the option, as I have on other sites, to pick from a couple of color schemes, or pick whatever colors I want period, no matter how obnoxious they are. I guess I'll just have to live with it, but I can always hope.

Site appearance, with respect to reading and it's contrasts, are important to many. I recall when this site came under a new management after I joined in 2009, the new owner had a time setting things up and even with evolvement, I would safely venture over one/two fifths left over this. Some trickled back, some didn't. But new members joined, so there you go. I dont think its fair to say this site or others wants to have members leave or participate less due to visual concerns. One thing however, that could help, the makers of this forum software have made it possible to provide different styles to a limit, for a member to select from. However, this can be a lot of work as most changes you make to one, you have to check all the others etc. One thing that can be done with respect to those that have problems with text reading/posting as involves colors; A master Style can be created with only Color changes made to Child Styles, these styles being member/user select. Once done, maintenance no problem. But is like a lot of things, how much you put it into it, as well as, at what point do needs of few affect the many ?

How is this color? Can you see it? Probably not because non-contrasting colors are very difficult to read. Catch my drift?

That is why books are printed in black on white paper.

You can not read my first line can you? Look hard, it is there. No, no. ABOVE the "That is why books" line. If you can not figure out how to read it, take your cursor and highlight.

to me the topic color is sort of a faded tea sipper burnt orange......and yep at times it is hard to read at a glance. The good news is if you put your mouse pointer hand thing on it it will magically turn to black as long as you keep pointing at it.......and is much easier to read. Same thing goes when someone installs a link within a post.......just hover the pointer hand over it and it will change to black for an easier read.

These changes can be made client side in your computers "accessibility" options without the need to rewrite forum software.
There is also some more advanced options such as using developers tools in your browser but they may be more than some are willing to get involved in although a quick google search would show its ease.

Glad I'm not the only one.
