    Exclamation Tags - Please Use

Someone of you may already know what the tags mean at the bottom of every post. These tags are very important to the forum. When putting in tags it gives search engines somthing to do by and it also helps you when searching for threads or posts.

For Example, you are looking for information on a Bersa .380 two tone. You type that in and if someone has posted about at Bersa and put the tags in, it will pull it up first. This feature is very easy to use and very helpful if members use it.

So if you could at least put a few tags in when making a thread.

    Thanks,
    Forum Managment.

Lloyd, that post you replied to is 3 years old. We have had a few software changes in the last few years. They feature likely doesn't work, as you experienced.

I am still unable to use your search option because I can't figure out this tag thing.
Example: if i search for info on .219 donnadlson wasp and tag it "need info" I am told that that is an invalid tag.
If I search for info on copper fouling removing and tag it " need help" I am told that that is an invalid tag. I'm so frustrated that I am considering abandoing this site in favor of a more user friendly one.
    Regards

What's an example section you are trying to post to? I'll see if I can recreate your error

    Forget tags.

This is what a search for .219 Donaldson Wasp turned up.

Donaldson is properly spelled with one 'n'.

A fowl is a bird. 'Fowling' is not a word (except when used to describe a type of black powder shotgun, ie; fowling piece).. The proper term is fouling.

    Hi,

I've posted a test thread here:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I was able to tag this 'need help'. In fact when I started typing I was prompted by the tag which then auto-completed when I clicked on it. I am using Google Chrome on Windows.
