Default Question for Mods on Trends Here

    Valiant Gatekeepers,

I have a question about trends here at the National Gun Forum. On the average Sunday, there's usually about 15 or so open threads under the "New Posts" tab. As of right now, there's 52 of them, spanning three pages.

It seems there's an uptick in the number of new members, too.

Is there a new trend in society, or a specific news event, that's behind these trends? What's your best guess? You're more likely than anyone else to have a sense of what's up.
"Behold, I Myself have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and brings out a weapon for its work." Isaiah 54:16

"Now there was no blacksmith to be found throughout all the land of Israel, for the Philistines said, 'Lest the Hebrews make themselves swords or spears.'" 1 Samuel 13: 19

"Each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built." Nehemiah 4:17-18

"Let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one." Luke 22:35-38

I suspect it's due to more people becoming concerned by the actions of the narcissist-in-chief.

Andy, These are things that are learned in "Moderator Training Camp" or "MTC" which cannot be divulged to the rank and file under pain of severe injury or death.

MTC is very similar to a cross between Navy Seal training and French Foreign Legion training except for all the stuff they have to do in Seal training and FFL training.

Actually moderators are chosen using the philosophy that if you take the worst troublemakers and put them in charge they somehow form a structured setting.

My personal take on the goings on around on the forum in regards to new members and weird postings is that it is Magic and the phase of the moon.

I hope this cleared things up.

I intend to follow the laws when I carry my gun.
If I break those laws I expect to be held accountable.
Until I break those laws I expect to be left alone.
    That’s the definition of freedom.
This is not too much to ask.

I demand nothing more and I will accept nothing less.

An anti-sniper rifle, or ASR, is a relatively new concept in anti-self defense technology. Basically what happens is these rifles are made from a composite of tightly woven carbon nano fibers which are cross linked to micro-tech chip technology. This tech is put together in a finished product that resembles most modern rifles but the similarity ends there. The ASR is activated as soon as a round is loaded in the chamber. As the shooter grips the ASR, the micro-chip sensors in the trigger group began to read endorphin levels in the users body. If endorphin levels are high, suggesting the shooter is extremely happy once having sighted in on a hapless government official or school teacher, or even just a poor illegal alien, a signal is sent to the nanites in the carbon fiber which release the molecular level binding creating the cohesive forces holding the ASR together. This has the immediate effect of making it blow up in the face of the right wing knuckle dragger attempting to prove his manhood!
