Well, I guess I'll just have to restart the computer every time I want to get on the site.

True story (spoiler: it doesn't help you ... sorry).

I got my first microcomputer in Feb 1978. It was a TRS-80 from Radio Shack. I designed circuitry for the Z-80 and wrote several articles for 80 Microcomputing and Kilobaud Microcomputing magazines.

When the Tandy 1000 hit, I bought that. It was a "clone," IBM PC.

IBM allowed the architecture to be duplicated and eventually lost the PC market to Compaq and then Dell.

I turned that hobby into a career and lived and breathed the PC.

I never touched an Apple product; never worked on one; never operated one.

I am totally Apple ignorant. It wasn't because I didn't like the Apple. it was because business didn't embrace the Apple.

No, Apples went to schools (back then) and the PC went to business.

Just as VHS gained critical mass and beat out Betamax, PC beat Apple in business.

I've often recommended Apple for people frustrated with the Windows platform. Apple is far more sophisticated than Windows.

    Wish I could have helped.

    Good luck.

I started with a second hand Commodore 64 in 1984. For my use it was "one giant leap for mankind" step up from a type writer. From there to the Pcs (IBM, Epson, etc..). I had a gateway for a long time, dial up, and PCs at school (work). Then one day they (the IT dept) came and got the PCs and left Macbooks. There was a great gnashing of teeth and rending of clothes, and Irish curses placed you them to the tenth generation.

Today, you couldn't make me buy a PC.

I’m a Mac guy. I use my IPad for almost everything I do on line. For my business and composing contracts I use my PC. I don’t surf the web or even go to any websites with my PC. The virus protection is out of date by a year or so. The having to always update and buy new virus protection is a royal pain in the butt. I never have problems with my Mac products. I have even given up on my IMac. Just the iPad now. There are issues lately here with using the iPad. I can’t lower my virtual keyboard unless I go back to the home screen and it’s only on this forum.

I have a Bluetooth keyboard for those occasions where I have to do a fair amount of typing on a non-PC device. It works with my iPhone, Fire HD, and Android tablet.

As I age, the virtual keyboard just isn't doing it for me.

what version of chrome is that?
I have a 2013macbook pro. using mojave but it shouldn't effect how the site works. your browser and it's extensions are more relevant.
