    Default Handgun Fun

It has been a while since I did any serious handgun practice...so I grabbed three friends and headed to our local range this morning.

Spent some time working with the RO Compact and P365 working on draw and fire from concealed and some shooting around and over barriers from about 25’. I did not do as good as I would have liked, but for today I can live with it. But more practice in the near future. After working through those exercises I just shot the FNX-45 because, well, because I have one Seemed to carve out a nice hole in the newly installed wood.

All in all it was a pretty fun day, but I did have some challenges shooting some American Eagle .45 ammo that I got for almost nothing. A few rounds would not go into battery with the RO Compact. The slide stuck hard just barely out of battery, had to push it open on the bench to get the round out. I am certain it was the ammo, the gun has shot everything I have fed it reliably until this. I will run it again pretty soon and see. And somehow I lost a screw out of the grip on the RO too. Springfield is sending me a set of screws free...good guys. Now I have a little brass to work on.

dang....i need to get to the range.

the new sigs seem to be the rage around here in the local leo circles......the sheriff just approved the sig for officer purchase/carry as an alternative to the sig226dak.

he was wanting to trade off the dept 226's for 320's but its just not in his budget.
so............he bought one, made a new policy, and now carries it.......

Convenient when you can set your own policy!

Love my 365s! Need to take my HK P7s out for a spin as well; those are SO much fun to shoot, especially for us LH guys.
