some do.....some don't......for their own reasons.

rimfire vest and pocket guns have been available for self defense for decades....

I have the Advantage Arms conversion for the G 21SF, and that's fine, but my Buck Mark will always be #1. Had the Ruger. Sold it quickly.

Glock set their standard to be twice as reliable as the next best competitor. Never shot anything other than a MK4 but Glock should be a safe bet.

    Remigton 522 Viper / Mosin Nagant M91/30

Ciener 1911 .22 Conversion Kit. I bought two. An anodized "black" and an anodized pewter-gray for a Colt MarkIV/Series 80 Government Model and a S&W 1911 stainless.

    They both work "great".

    I know right?

If someone ever shoots me in the face with a 22LR, the first thing I'm going to do is role my eyes, and then I'm going to explain to them why the 22lr is an ineffective defense round in a snarky condescending tone.

I looked at it. It's too new, and it doesn't have a safety on it.
I've regreted purchasing firearms that were new to the market before. I would have to wait a couple years on the Glock after checking it out.
The no safety thing is perfectly fine, but not really my cup of tea.

If someone shoots you in the face with a 22lr you might end up dead. The bullet could easily make it to your brain. Or deflect into your jugular vein. Don't underestimate the 22 round. A dealer down the street from me was killed last year over weed. Chiappa little badger was the gun used.

    I was being completely sarcastic.

If someone shoots you in the head with a 22, you're probably going to die.
Mafia Hitmen wouldn't use them if that wasn't the case. The Israelis tried to use 22 rifles for crowd control, and had to stop because they killed way too many people accidentally. Like they were shooting people in the legs, and they were bleeding out cuz they had a hole right through their leg....imagine that?

When I was a kid growing up in Texas we used to bait and kill wild pigs with 22' pistols all the time for fun, and not just with headshots. If you pop 150 lb wild Pig 3-4 times broadside, they don't last much longer than if you put a round of double-ought buck in them.
