    Default Ar15 build

Contemplating putting together an ar15. Technically, all I would need is a complete upper, complete lower, and a magazine? Everything just fits in place then? Thanks!

Pretty much. If you wait a tad, you'll find them coming down in price even more!

I'd suggest piecing it together yourself, at least the lower. That way you get the trigger, grip and stock you want without wasting money replacing parts.

As far as the upper goes, BCM has just about every barrel/rail configuration imaginable on their website. Its just a matter of waiting for the one you want to get back in stock.

Is it normal to need an FFL to buy a Lower receiver?

It is required to get one shipped to you.

Unless you purchase an 80% complete receiver... Meaning you'll need to finish it!

No FFL is required to purchase. A FFL01 is required to have it shipped to you.

Just build your own without anyone knowing.

Don't do this if you are not legally able to own one(gun).
