    Default Remington ACR

If you haven't visited the website of the Remington Adaptive Combat Rifle, I strongly suggest you check this out. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Make sure you download their brochure, and also watch their 4 animated clips about how the rifle works. To me, this blows every other AR-15/variant out of the water. This gun will outperform any M16/variant, and will certainly outperform an M14 or Kalashnikov rifle. I want your thoughts. What do you think about the ACR? This is by far my favorite gun.

I don't see how it is any better than the FN SCAR. Either way, these rifles don't make ARs or AKs obsolete due to the worldwide usage of those two platforms, their track records, and their availability of parts.

It seems to be nothing more than a variation on a theme....
The difference between a Socialist and a Communist is that the Socialist doesn't have all the guns yet.

the reason it's better than the FN SCAR is because the ACR can switch out calibers and barrel lenghts in minutes. Another plus is that it can fire the 6.8 SPC, which has more than twice the stopping power of the SCAR-L's 5.56, but without the bone-jarring recoil of the SCAR-H's 7.62x51. Also, the ACR has a non-reciprocating bolt handle, unlike the SCAR.

Henry, how many cases of ammo have you put thru your ACRs? How many wars have been fought with the ACRs? Just curious...

ok, point taken. all im saying is that the SPECS of the ACR blow most other guns out of the water. can anyone seriously disagree with that?

not only that, but how many wars weve fought with the ACR is irrelevant. thousands of wars have been fought with the bow and arrow, but we're not using that anymore either. get my point?

It is relevant because you said "This gun will outperform any M16/variant, and will certainly outperform an M14 or Kalashnikov rifle." There have been millions of civilian and military variations of those rifles over decades, nad yet you are claiming a rifle which has barely been released, and by produced by a company who's quality control has been called into question, will outperform all of them without a doubt. I would like to know if you at least own one, and how much hard work you have put it through.
