Yeah, I have one also. It is very accurate. I usually hit bullseye with it at 25 yards. I love it.

I just created an account here to ask about this gun, but decided I better check to see if anyone else had already done so, so I'm glad I found your thread xp I'm looking to buy my first gun, and I want to get a .22 pistol just for the fun of shooting with friends. I also want to get a .22 lever action, but that is a different discussion. Anyway, after doing some looking I found this gun and I like the look and I like the price, I am just worried about the quality. I've read good things, but I've also read some concerns about the sights being off. Anyway, thanks for posting this X)

You are very welcome. I'm glad that my videos have helped somebody. I have many more firearms reviews on my channel. If you are looking for a good to say great .22 long rifle lever action, try looking for the Ruger 96/22. I just did a video comparison against the Ruger 10/22, and both are great rifles.

Further more if you are worried about the accuracy of the Heritage, I can attest and prove that at 22 feet you can shoot a playing card in half with it, if that helps answer any concerns you have with the sights being on. Most of it comes down to the shooter and the technique used when shooting. Thanks for watching, and if you find my videos useful, please subscribe. I'd be glad to have you along for future videos.

I love that little gun, My Dad bought me a quick draw rig for that gun. I use to spend hours as a teen practicing drawing. (wish the belt still fit).
Use to walk the RR tracks and when a Ground Hog would see me and run in his hole. I would set down outside his hole about 5 ft away. After about 5 mins he would stick his head back out and BANG. Dinner. Ground Hogs are about blind and barely see movement. Love the Heritage

Starting to wonder what a ground hog tastes like. Never tried it. I saw one the other day and tried to shoot it with a 9mm but I missed and he went back in his hole. I waited around a bit but he never came back out.

You keep trying that trick it works more often than not. Ground Hogs are almost blind but they hear very well so you gotta be still and quiet.

Ground Hog is very tough meat but it is also very clean meat since they only eat green grass and weeds. You will have to crock pot it or use a smoker for about 13 hours. Once you get it softened up it tastes great and is tasty.

Now Ken the Ground Hogs around hear hibernate this time of the year so I am not sure how that effects them. It's cold up this way, not sure about Idaho. This was more of a summer thing for me. Never done this this time of year.

Update: I bought a Rough Rider revolver and am very pleased. This is the model I got:

The back sights are very small so it takes a little more concentration than with more defined ridges, but never the less the gun is pretty accurate from a distance.

    Appreciate the review.

I have been considering this gun for a while. The desire is price driven for a functional no frills work gun.......sort of like an H&R Topper shotgun.....There are always going to be "better" guns out there but sometimes the job description and the budget dictate that "less is more"....if you know what i mean.

Also considering the EAA Bounty Hunter 22 as well.

Heritage rough riders are plentiful and seem to sell well at area stores. But no one seems to carry the EAA for me to make a comparison.

As far as quality goes, I think the Heritage Rough Rider is built solid enough that it does not disappoint at all for the around $100-$150. Just take my advice and do not fan the hammer. It can break the locking mechanism that holds the hammer back. It has happened to me. On another note .22LR and .22 WMR are pretty hard to find in a lot of places, so if you are lucky enough to have stocked some up, then by all means get a .22LR/.22WRM revolver. I love mine.
