Our backs are against the wall for sure. There's not a whole lot of hope there.

Is it just me, or is Obama's rating actually better than McCains on that chart?

That's why I didn't vote for McCain in 2000. If your from Ga don't forget to go out and vote for Chambliss in the runoff

Trocisp: GoA's pissed at him over the Incumbent Protection Act and saying that he wants to close the gun show loophole.

But, it seems like even per GOA's stringent requirements, we've got a narrow (C- or better, 53%) lead in the House and a dead heat in the senate (Granted, again, that Sen. McCain is rated F-- which I think might be an over-reaction as to his actual willingness to take drastic measures against gun-owners).

    ... Maybe I hope?

    NORTH CAROLINA

    BURR B
    DOLE A

Well Libby Dole is gone and we have a democrat, Kay Hagan, in her place, but she does claim to be pro-2nd.

    From her website:

    "Second Amendment Rights

Kay is a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights. Obtaining a lifetime hunting license in Kay’s family is something of a tradition, and her husband is qualified to teach hunter safety. Responsible gun ownership is not only part of the fabric of North Carolina, but it is also a fundamental constitutional right.

Kay supported the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Heller v. District of Columbia, which overturned an overly restrictive firearms ban in Washington D.C. and was a victory for all law-abiding citizens. Kay has been a strong supporter of responsible gun ownership in the state Senate, where she earned a B rating from the NRA. Kay pledges to continue to protect gun owners’ rights when she is in the U.S. Senate."
Of course I'm out of my mind! It's dark and scary in there.... Hidden Content

B rating from NRA is like another D from GOA.

I think the main reason is that any congressman that sponsors an anti-gun bill gets an automatic F-. The McCain-Lieberman bill for "closing the gun show loop hole" (thankfully died in committee) is probably the main thing. There's also his support for "American's for Gun Safety", an anti-gun organization trying to push itself as "middle of the road".

He has voted correctly on numerous gun control bills, but the above makes him a "gun control activist", at least according to GOA's standards.

Oregon is totally screwed. But its strange since there are lots of hunters up here, but the ones that live in the larger cities are all pro-union and vote for the anti-gun candidates.

    I find it very frustrating.
