I'm not saying we Raise any taxes, we just go after the big guys who arent paying.
If Haliburton doesnt have to pay Taxes why should I?
Here we go again...comparing the four cents ($0.04) per gallon that evil, wicked "Big Oil" (the creation of the media in league with the DNC) makes versus the forty-five cents ($0.45) per gallon the fed and state governments make on each gallon.

It ain't going to go down, either. Those governments are hurting badly with the demise of cigarette smoking in this country. Same deal, the gov'ts were making over $0.50/pack (over $1.50/pack here in NM) versus the less than $0.04/pack that the poor tobacco farmer was making.

Please, please, please -- stop believing the bullshit and read alternative sources for news and information. The media WILL make a fool of you. Believe it.

    I'm with you Rick.

If the government goes after "Big Oil" for excess profits tax, then they should go after any corporation that makes more than x% profit. Not going to, and shouldn't, happen.

Also, if Charlie Rangel, the House Ways and Means Committee Chairman, can't figure out what taxes he owes the federal government, then we can safely say the tax code needs to be scrapped and something a lot more simplified put in its place.

We are in a global economy and our tax system needs to reflect it.
