Default School With A bad Gun Attitude

A couple of years ago when my youngest was in first grade, the teachers were asking the students to bring in a fun instructional video to class. I offered the Eddie Eagle gun safety film for kids that teaches how not to touch a gun if they were to come across one, but rather get away and report it to an adult. There was no politics or pro gun talk in the film. Just pure common sense safety info for kids produced in a short and sweet fun kids video. The principal told me that she would not allow it because the mere mentioning of guns was involved. I advised the principal who made the decision that if any kids were injured from a found gun, and such injuries could of been avoided by seeing the video, that I would testify against her that she was a contributing factor for not allowing the film to be seen.
She knew darn right well about the film and it's safety value, but she was afraid that some anti gun liberals would cry that it's gun realted and shouldn't be shown to the kids. I guess that's the kind of nonsense that I have to deal with here in NJ.

Seems to be a lot of that on the eastern sea board for some reason. Hard to figure why people think the way they do.

Maybe you should point out that their sex education classes expose kids to the tools of rape and prostitution.

Generations grow up in the big cities and only know what they see on TV about guns. They read the papers and watch the news. Guns are used by gangs and in the movies to Kill. Thats the extent of their knowledge and its difficult to change their viewpoint.

Children get expelled for drawing a picture of guns. Thats where parents need to put their foot down and sue the pizzz out of the school board, administrators and city. One big lawsuit that is won will end that behavior.

I suspect the same could be true of the fact that schools refuse to educate children about gun safety. One big lawsuit following the death of a child and things might change. That is the way liberals think, always look for someone to blame rather than pass the blame to the parents for not teaching their children properly. So the gun community should take on their tactics and start filing lawsuits when children die from accidents.
