I suggest ya'll stop lumping all the citizens of any particular state into one category.

Got some new neighbors almost a year ago. From Texas. They are in their late 30s or early 40s.

She is a RN, heart transplant specialist (a local hospital moved them here because of her). She's a pretty decent person. Her husband, on the other hand seems to be a drone. Doesn't work, knows nothing about anything... and revels in his ignorance. Hates firearms, loves the O-Hole, etc., etc. He likes to brag about his 30 acre 'ranch' outside of Houston. My initial reply was, "Thirty acres? That's a garden in Texas, maybe a hobby farm". Needless to say, he no longer mentions his 'ranch' when I'm around. In fact, he's rarely around when I'm out.

This is a rather politically conservative part of Sacramento County and he's managed to alienate all of the neighbors in less than a year. He mostly stays inside now.

The difference between a Socialist and a Communist is that the Socialist doesn't have all the guns yet.

Popeye, you know, as well as I do, that unfortunately, the outrageous behavior of as minority of folks winds up brandishing everyone else with a broad brush - it's how stereotypes are born and created. It's not different than all Southern blacks are lazy or all Southern whites are redneck racists.........
