The difference between a Socialist and a Communist is that the Socialist doesn't have all the guns yet.

I'm open to suggestions...but tell me,,, how are term limits a quick fix?
being involved and educated is all well and good IF Enough of the populace is involved and educated Before the vote,, I'm referring to after the culprit is in office. Being a politician they will say Anything to get into office and then act according to their own agenda. That IMO is when we the people need a way to remove them pronto. As we all have seen with the O-Hole,,, 8 years (not to mention 30-40 yrs for congress and senate) is a long time to have to put up with misuse of power and can have extremely devastating results that sometime can't be undone because the populace for whatever reason refuse to vote them out

An uninvolved and, therefore, ignorant voting populace will immediately replace one crook with another crook. Congressional term limits will change nothing but the faces, that's it.

We, as a country, get the government we deserve.

I disagree,, we get the government that does as it wants... not necessarily what the populace wants.. People are voted in with some measure of trust they will do their job correctly otherwise they don't usually get elected.. It's generally after they're elected they go their separate way which leads to disobedience and corruption of office
At least with term limits the new faces would have less time to create much of their mischief

There is no 'magic wand', ie: term limits. Example: California has term limits for legislators.

I agree wholeheartedly,, all I'm saying is there has to be a better way of dealing with the corruption than the way it's being (or not) handled now. We need a way to get the point across to reps that (if they go rogue so to speak) they will be dealt with pronto and strictly and not have to wait until the next election while they continue their path

    There is a way.
Unfortunately, almost no politician on either side would allow it. It is not in a career politicians best interest.
