That may be the most productive land in the world in ways, with corn and wheat, and livestock out the wazoo.

And that is not even taking Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas in account, what I am saying is, all I need to look at is regions, and I know that Bernie is a horses ass, and illiterate about farms and ranches.

I went through Ohio a few times during growing season, and I saw soybeans and cornfields that were unreal. Maybe Bernie should do the same, maybe he needs to drive through Ohio or Iowa.

We grow enough crops and raise enough livestock, to feed a billion people. If India and China would get it in gear, they could feed their own and then export. Bernie is full of it.
problem is that crop in this region is not a major food source, its used in bio fuels etc we are wasting the ground nutrient to fuel our tech. once its leached we are totally screwed because we lose all the microorganisms as well and no one can do it better than nature over time. .

Most places the water use exceeds the aquifers ability to regenerate and its made worse when it does not rain. in Miinesota its at 133% water use to aquifer ability to regen. and more importantly we are using wood way faster than it grows how are we going to house everyone especially as more hurricanes and tornadoes and greed destroys more homes and buildings?

Air quality is very dependent on how many of us use energy etc or change the form of energy. few people to create pollution the cleaner the air.

Pointing out current problems and chanting in unison, 'We're all gonna die' is not a solution to these problems.

Are you aware that food plants are being developed that require significantly less water than do current food plants?

Crumbling infrastructure, biofeuls, etc. are political problems.

Population control is a stupid and unworkable proposal.
The difference between a Socialist and a Communist is that the Socialist doesn't have all the guns yet.

That statement would imply that Sanders was once sane, which I highly doubt.

I can relate to all of us starving by the millions. I went to McDonalds the other morning because I left the house early and didn’t get my breakfast. I really love egg McMuffins. They had the parking lot closed because they were remodeling the front of the restaurant. Didn’t have time to fool around so I drove past. How will we all survive? Without beef and chicken, life will end! Saw a small child waiting for the bus and thought,” I’ll bet those are tender”. That’s the answer! We don’t want to stop having babies, we need the meat. I’ll bet Bernie would think this is a good idea. Lower population and a new food source. No if we could just make flour from lawn clippings........

Your going HUH because you took the greed out of context of the sentence.. example of greed destroys homes and buildings is : after the housing bubble burst and many homeowners defaulted on their mortgage the bank repossessed the homes. The right thing to do would of been to sell the home immediately at cost, rather than keeping the value artificially high as they did. Instead they allowed those homes/buildings to deteriorate so they could be condemned and destroyed in order to create a shortage of housing which in turn raises value for homes and buildings artificially high again.

here is someone who better explains it than I could

Due to the house or building being in disrepair its lost and the wood resources that the house is made of is lost as well. the house is then torn down that if not for greed would of been lived in and maintained thus saving the wood in which the house was made of and not needing to cut down new trees to replace the lost house or building..

pointless if their is no ground nutrients left in soil, you can have all the water in the world without the ground nutrients you won't be growing anything.

So I am asking you what do you do when the average joe refuses to self regulate their pollution, and breeding? We all die if he doesn't.

to simplify : Put 10 people in a fish bowl tell them they have to survive for 10 days with only enough calories to feed 1 person for 10 days. and enough water for one person for 10 days. How do you solve that? when one person insists that those resources are theirs and theirs alone and is unwilling to share those resources but is also the strongest meanest of the 10.

That is what we are dealing with but on 7billion+ and add all other life on earth but where 6.5 billion are that one A hole in the fish bowl. how will you survive? how will your kids etc survive?

we ignored the warnings and history of other major die offs. all that is left is drastic action. We are seeing now what was not suppose to be seen till after 2050. I am NOT at all saying we are all going to die. only 99.9 percent of us will unless we do extreme measures. For we were suppose to start the change in our ways when I was born, only we did the opposite and that opposite is exponecially growing due to our tech allowing us to consume our resources so much faster.

that plant that uses less water does not mean its a plant our bodies will recognize as food and not know how to process it, leading to novelty illnesses as a consequence. For example wheat had been modified so much, many of us can no longer safely eat it without health complications. I am Not just talking GMO here even splicing can change the chemistry of the plant into one our bodies don't know how to use and in some cases even poison us.
