    ALERT - OpEd:

Texas has four metro areas that are booming: Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.

Out-of-staters flocking to those areas are a diverse collection of college-educated suburbanites who are not interested in Republican agendas and convert to the Democratic party.

The Republicans have two major ways to gain voters.

1.) One is to ignite the 2 million unregistered Republican voters.

2.) The other is to persuade Democratic-leaning voters to defect.

Republicans are passing on option 2.) because the party is unwilling to change their message.

Meanwhile, the Democratic party is aggressively working to register as many voters as possible, and offering a liberal policy that is attractive to young migrants from other states.

So, a simple answer to the question is that Texas is attracting college-educated outsiders, turning the state blue.

The draw of the DEMOCRAT Party, in ALL states, is that it "embraces" a philosophy that appeals to human laziness. It is that simple. No real efforts or work is required, other than voting and maybe hangin' out occasionally as a mob. Individual initiative is not encouraged, nor is discipline or observation of ethics which entails. at times, personal sacrifice. The DEMOCRAT Party and Liberal organizations know they can appeal to human nature and the inherent laziness, intellectual and often physical, that resides within it.

In comparison, being conservative or actual Republican is just too hard and difficult. Be advised. Principles have sharp, pointed edges and should only be held or handled by adults.

It sounds like Abbott may have higher political ambitions in his future.

    ALERT: Op-Ed

I live in Texas. Hell, I was born in Texas.

If you examine the list closely, it's not really all that astonishing.

Lemonade and wine? Red lights? Free speech on campuses isn't going to affect anybody except people who can afford to be on campuses?

How will all that impact, say, immigration or the economy or taxes?

Texas needs infrastructure in the form of roads and bridges.

There's a laundry list of things we need.

I hope the lemonade and wine tastes good at the conservative speech at A&M that people are running red lights to get away from.

That's good to know. When we lose Texas, we lose the border, and the country, but I'll be dead by then, so....

    Everyone will miss you.

    Except me.

    I'll be dead, too.

The border should be closed to all, except for commercial traffic.
