    Default Things the NeverTrumpers must believe (in no particular order)

    Thomas Lifson
    May 25, 2019

    An online friend who must remain anonymous has been musing about what those ostensible conservatives who despise President Trump must now approve of, if they seek to defeat his re-election bid, and thereby hand the presidency to the Democrats’ nominee.

    This is the implicit set of values and goals that they must now embrace:

    1) Abortion on demand is a good thing;

    2) Infanticide is a good thing;

    3) Letting Iran get a nuclear bomb is a good thing;

    4) Higher tax rates are a good thing;

    5) More regulation on businesses, big and small, is a good thing;

    6) Restricting gas, oil and coal exploration and extraction is a good thing;

    7) Open borders is a good thing;

    8) China stealing our intellectual property is a good thing;

    9) Turning over a significant amount of our uranium supply to Russia is a good thing;

    10) Turning our back on Israel is a good thing;

    11) Socialization of our health care is a good thing;

    12) Repealing the religious protections of the First Amendment is a good thing;

    13) Repealing the speech protections of the First Amendment is a good thing,

    14) Repealing the assembly protections of the First Amendment'

    15) Repealing the Second Amendment is a good thing.

    My friend asks:

    So, Bill Kristol, have I left anything out?

    Whoever expects to only vote for the "perfect" candidate will never go to the polls.

    What President Trump has accomplished in two and a half years is amazing, in-spite of all the idiotic resistance against his policies. If he isn't re-elected in 2020, then this nation isn't worth saving and the lunatics have truly taken over the asylum.

    I am the first to agree that Mr. Trump is not perfect, show me some one in this planet that is perfect and I will vote for such individual. I voted for Trump because
    1.- I did not wanted a worthless socialist inclined b*tch like the Witch to become president,
    2.- I wanted to slow or stop the progress of the drive towards a socialist state,
    3.- I liked Mr. Trump agenda,
    4.- I wanted to get the USA out of the slump that was under Bush and Obuma,
    5.- I wanted some one in the WH who, at least, mentioned that he wanted to help the USA and its citizens instead of pushing an idiotic socialist agenda.
    6.- I wanted to see conservatives judges installed ant the Supreme Court and the Federal courts.
    7 .- etc, etc.
    Mr. Trump still not perfect, but he will have my vote coming on 2020.

    "Who? Please name names"

    Individuals in our nations and world's history may be labeled as "heroes", and have been so identified, by their supporters and some of their countrymen. Yet the fallout of their actions and influences after their departure, and some times while they are in their lime-light and era, is often seen, in retrospect, as having ill if not disastrous effects.

    Franklin Roosevelt, hero to the Americans of the Depression and of course WWII era. Now it is agreed by many astute historians that his interventions and acts extended the Depression and of course after the dust and smoke of war cleared, it seems he had insulted and alienated Churchill and Britain, he never even spoke to Harry Truman to keep him in the loop, while giving into everything Joe Stalin wanted or demanded. FDR actually thought he could handle Stalin by virtue of his personality, good nature and superior intellect. Stalin won before FDR died.

    JFK. America for the most part loved him and his wife and "the gang" his administration represented. He sought advice from Eisenhower on possible actions concerning the Bay of Pigs and expansion into Vietnam. Ike told him to avoid both. In regards to the Bay of Pigs, "if you go, go ALL in, with all you have. No half measures." And Vietnam was a definite "No". As Ike commented in advice, "Those jungles will swallow divisions of men." JFK ignored Ike - the former Supreme Allied Commander - on both counts and helped bring about the Cuban Missile Crisis and our expansion into the Vietnam War..

    Bahrock Hoosayn O'Bama. His followers and supporters revere, adore, luv and still worship him. Need we really get into his flaws and disasters?

    All three were flawed more than the people of their time realized. And all three were admired and revered by their supporters who defined them as "great" men and leaders. But, now we know - as Paul Harvey would have said - "the rest of the story".

    Right on the money Steve. Volumes have been written about all three of these rubes. Each one was ultimately responsible for thousands of dead Americans. Maybe I have lived too long. I sure as hell don't see any heros here.
    FDR really thought of himself as a King not a President. I guess in some ways he ended up that way. Harry Truman sure got a shock when General Groves told him about the A Bomb.
    JFK only accomplishment was getting is 40 mile an hour PT boat in from of a 30 mile an hour IJN Destroyer. His 'Johnson' got him into that mess in the first place. The same sexual member seemed to rule his entire Regime in the White House. He did have excellent speech writers. 'Camelot' my ass. More like the white bordello on the hill.
    BHO Regime was more like a crime spree than a presidential administration. That clown couldn't even read a teleprompter without screwing it up. Great speech writers idiot in front of the camera.
